This program of graduate instruction is offered for the dentist wishing to
specialize in the field of orthodontics. This is a degree program. There is no
option for a clinical certificate.
The primary objectives of the courses are:
An M.S. or M.S.D. degree is conferred upon the satisfactory completion of the requirements and a minimum residency of 24 months. Minimum University and School of Dentistry requirements for the M.S. or M.S.D. degree include 30 hours of course work, of which 18 hours must be devoted to didactic work. A minimum of 6 hours must be earned toward an approved minor subject outside the major concentration. Other elective subjects may be selected, based on the student's educational objectives. A total of 6 hours must be in research; additional research credit cannot be used toward fulfillment of requirements for the degree. |
