Welcome to the Dental School in Glasgow
Welcome to the website of the University of Glasgow Dental School. The School is one of nine Divisions within the Faculty of Medicine and delivers a modern, integrated BDS programme over five years to an undergraduate population of approximately 400 students. We provide postgraduate research student opportunities and, in addition, launched a new primary care taught postgraduate programme in September 2007. This is being extended in September 2008 to include taught postgraduate programmes in Restorative Dentistry, Oral Surgery and Orthodontics for students from overseas. The strong collaboration locally between the University and the NHS is continuing to facilitate exciting new developments and opportunities. Professor Jeremy Bagg and Professor Richard Welbury completed their coast to coast journey at the end of June.
Minister for Public Health Opens New Orthodontic & Paediatric Dentistry Clinic
The new Orthodontic and Paediatric Dentistry Clinic at the Glasgow Dental Hospital was officially opened on the 3rd June 2008 by Shona Robison MSP, Minister for Public Health.
